My image "First Light" made it to the exhibit of the International Conservation Photography Awards 2008.
I am really proud one of my images has been selected to be in the exhibit in the Museum of Industry and History of Seattle Washington from August 30th until October 12th, as part of the International Conservation Photography Awards 2008. From their website:
"...Known for his passionate advocacy of the environment, nature photographer Art Wolfe created a conservation-themed photo contest in 1997 as "an event for the advancement of photogaphy as a unique medium, capable of bringing awareness and preservation to our environment through art." The 2008 International Conservation Photography Awards is the latest incarnation of Art Wolfe's vision. The ICP Awards is a biennial (every two years) community event involving foundations, sponsors, politicians, and photographers to promote environmental and cultural conservation."
Some of the photographers included in the exhibit are people who I have the fortune to meet either in person or online. And they have been a great inspiration to my own work.
The image is:
And it is included as one of the Flora images.
