I made this trip to Big Sur to meet some photographer friends. We agreed to meet there as I would drive later due to other commitments. Once I reached the area I talked to them, and they already visited McWay Falls at Julia Pfeiffer Burns Park in Big Sur, and told me they were going to go take photographs at another place because they were kind of disappointed, and the sky was totally covered by clouds with no signs of a nice sunset. I decided I wanted to go anyway to photograph the McWay falls. Once there, I realized why they were disappointed by the sky, but anyway I set my camera, and took different exposures. As I was doing this, the sky suddenly cleared, and illuminated the cove for a short lapse of time. This is a testament that being stubborn sometimes pays up.
This photo was taken last year, and I believe to be the image that got me so addicted to photography.
