This image was taken over a month ago, it is 2 minutes from my house. I've been waiting for the fog to come as I had in mind this tree, which I was wondering how it will look like under the right conditions. The fog has only happened for a couple of times lately, but I could not materialize this image. This time when I woke up, I realized the fog could work, but I only had 5 to 10 minutes to go there, shoot it and be back for breakfast and take my daughter to her class. I was rewarded by a nice hawk perching in the tree making it a little more interesting.
Stunning image, I'd have probbaly composed it off the the side, but I think that would have created a weaker shot. How are you finding the D700 by the way? I'm thinking of getting one
wow, thats a very interesting tree. I didnt see the bird in the thumb and was surprised to see it in the tree. Definitely adds to the shot, great timing.
