:thumb114032380: In its state of arrested decay, the town of Bodie in California takes us back in time for a glimpse of a real Wild West town. Gold was discovered in the area in 1859, and a mill established by 1861. ICP Awards 2008

I am really proud one of my images has  been selected to be in the exhibit in the Museum of Industry and History of Seattle Washington from August 30th until October 12th, as part of the International Conservation Photography Awards 2008. From their website: "...Known for his passionate advocacy of the environment, nature photographer Art Wolfe created a conservation-themed photo contest in 1997 as "an event for the advancement of photogaphy as a unique medium, capable of bringing awareness and preservation to our environment through art." The 2008 International Conservation Photography Awards is the latest incarnation of Art Wolfe's vision.

Sorry I have not written much on here... but usually I'm not that good with words. On this trip I went thru Northern California coast, and in Oregon I stopped at several nice locations including Bandon, Columbia Gorge, Hood River, Cannon Beach, Lincoln City, Painted Hills, etc. I will be posting new images as my time allows it.  I hope you enjoy it thru my photos, as well as I did being there. :thumb85494719: :thumb85495445: :thumb85495844: :thumb85496085:  :thumb85496742:
